Kodak has quietly introduced a new superzoom camera, the Kodak EasyShare Z981. The new Kodak EasyShare Z981 digital camera is where creativity and versatility come together. The Kodak EasyShare Z981 is an easy-to-use digital camera that can give you pro-like performance. The Kodak Z981 is not really different from its predecessor the Z980. Just like that camera, the Z981 has a 3” rear screen, can shoot 720p HD video, features Kodak’s exclusive Smart Capture technology, and comes bundled with a detachable vertical grip.

The Z981 also features 14-megapixles, 26X Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon Optical Zoom Lens (35 mm equivalent: 26–676 mm), a fast (f/2.8–f/5.0) 26 mm wide-angle lens, Kodak’s Share button, a veritcal shutter release, Image stabilization, a < 0.2 second picture-capture speed, Kodak’s Smart Capture feature, HD picture and video capture, Program auto, aperture priority, shutter priority, and manual modes, multiple scene modes, and face Recognition.

You can tag your photo to YouTube, FaceBook, Flicker, and Kodak Gallery website simply by pressing the Share button. The photos will be automatically uploaded to these sites when you connect the camera to your computer. Also included is software called EasyShare that will help you to easily organize your pictures using tags, ratings, and time stamps. You can also do some editing like red-eye reduction, lighting improvement, wrinkles removal, and others.
